
Megan Magsarili is a mezzo-soprano from Portland, Oregon who specializes in opera, musical theater, and choral performance. In 2017, she received a Bachelor of Music from DePaul University and accepted a position with the Chicago Symphony Chorus for their 60th anniversary season. This is also when Megan began her collaboration with a local organization, Hearing in Color, for performances highlighting music of the Philippines. Megan recently completed a master’s in voice at Michigan State where she was cast in university productions as Prince Orlofsky in Strauss Jr.’s Die Fledermaus, Zita in Gianni Schicchi by Rossini, and Sesto in Mozart’s La clemenza di Tito. Since graduation in 2020, Megan has sung with the Lyric Opera of Chicago Chorus in their new production of Macbeth. Megan has also been a featured soloist in large orchestral works, including Luciano Berio’s Sinfonia, Grand Pianola Music by John Adams, and Handel’s Messiah.
